Halloween

I got an invitation to go to a Halloween party in Ptown. John Lighter hosted the party (this isn't his real name but you know how I like to rename people) at his house. He is one of the few successful artists, a painter, who lives in Ptown for a big part of the year. I can't, again, describe the fun of the party so I'll rely on pictures. Interesting fact is that one of the guests at the party was Michael Cunningham (III) winner of Pulitzer Prize for Fiction (Novel) for "The Hours." And an unfortunate fact is that I kind of leaned on the fruit punch, without realizing that even when you don't taste the alcohol it is still there - in vast quantities.
As a ramification I didn't spent enough time with a clear head, but I had fun doing "milattis" and sweating to the oldies, I was Richard Simmons after all. I also have to say that the artistic crowd is eccentric, I'll leave it at that, it is a beautiful word Ec.cen.tric.

Eccentric

adj 1: conspicuously or grossly unconventional or unusual; "restaurants of bizarre design--one like a hat, another like a rabbit"; "famed for his eccentric spelling"; "a freakish combination of styles"; "his off-the-wall antics"; "the outlandish clothes of teenagers"; "outre and affected stage antics" [syn: bizarre, freakish, freaky, flaky, off-the-wall, outlandish, outre]

2: not having a common center; not concentric; "eccentric circles" [syn: nonconcentric] [ant: concentric]

1: a person with an unusual or odd personality
2: a person of a specified kind (usually with many eccentricities); "a real character"; "a strange character"; "a friendly eccentric"; "the capable type"; "a mental case" [syn: character, type, case]

The moment that most recaptured that is the one at the piano, in the picture one can only see a small caption of the bliss - besides the piano and the odd clay-instrument, played by Sharon, there were other members of the artist's society who played citra , mandolin, a big drum … and all sang an eccentric song about a girl.

White Trash Glamour

I love the topics that Dan and Steff pick for their show. This time they were talking about "How can you tell when a girl is trying too hard" - the first ting that came to my mind was the picture of one of my classmates. To hear it click on White Trash Glamour

Carl & George's Hallowen Pary

I'm afraid to think when was the last time I wrote anything but formulas and calculations. The whole FT work and FT school + moving to a new house has taken a toll on me. I haven't been doing much since the beginning of September when I started the fall semester. Well, I mean all I have been doing is work and school. The good news is that in spite of the huge load on my plate I'm doing outstandingly well at school and more importantly I'm loving it. I'm only making a short appearance tonight too, and I'm only able to sneak in couple of minutes, due to bad weather class was canceled tonight.

This summer, over 4th of July weekend in Ptown, I met Carl and George from Lynnfield, MA. They not only have the best house but also throw the absolutely best Halloween Party in Massachusetts. I had the honor to attend this annual event for the first time this year. The Same thing happened again, Carl had told me they have the best house, I didn't believe him and when I saw it I was "oh, shit they do have the best house," I had the same reaction about the party too - I was "Yeah, yeah, yarah, yarah," but wait till you see the pictures. The place was catered, they had 4 bartenders and a VJ from Club Café in Boston - great people, good friends, awesome music, costumes and open bar - what more can one ask for. I don't have words to describe all the fun so I'll just have you see the pictures. I'm posting few here and the rest you can see in the gallery. I somewhat repeated my costume from last year, but since I was not in Ptown and non-of the people at the party had seen it I felt confident. I'm doing something different for this Saturday in Ptown. Carl and George did their party a weekend earlier because there is a charity dinner, which a lot of their friends attend, next weekend so they didn't want to interfere. I'm not telling you what I'm doing for next weekend but I thing its going to be insanely funny, so stay tuned.
