Juice and Ecuadorians
Good morning! We have juice! After a heartfelt plea from my blog provider, I am happy to announce that we have DSL and I WILL blog on a regular basis now. I should hope it will be more than every 14 days considering I am on this idiot box every day. We have been in the house for just over a week now. The projects seem endless and there just aren't enough hours in the day. Empire has proven to be a very difficult company to deal with. I do have to say that the Ecuadorians(?) that are doing the siding in the windows have a most excellent work ethic. They knocked on the door at 8AM this morning(SUNDAY!) to finish our siding. Poo. Oh well, no sleep for the weary. Today is Father's Day. Do you know where your father is? To tell you the truth, I think mine is floating around somewhere in the Atlantic. My constant efforts to build up a line of communication and relationship with said father are strained. I love him, but at this point, his life is just too damn busy for anything other than his priorities. I will call tonight. Hopefully someone will pick up the phone. My feelings have been very hurt lately when it comes to my family. Drew's family is amazing. They are the most supportive and helpful people I have ever met. The prospect of having these people as my extended family is awesome, but it makes it even more apparent how uninvolved my family is. Besides Grandma who I can always count on, no one has expressed an interest in what is going on in my world. Drew's parents are here every day, and no one shows up to visit me. With all of these people around to help, how is it that I feel so alone? I have given up. If they come around, they come around. It is their loss. Drew and I are going to a brunch today, which is gud because I like fud. Then I am doing psych observations and picking up a bathroom sink. Thank you Rebecca for giving me the push. This feels good, I will try not to let you down.
