Sister Sitting

This weekend I am sister sitting. She is too old for day care..and too young to enlist in the military. For these reasons, I have devoted myself to her care until Monday. If you can remember back to when you were an 11 girl...you will remember hormonal mood swings...and the occasional attempts to test the limits. She doesnt listen to a word I say, because she is bigger than me, and honestly I fear her. As long as I make sure she is fed and watered, I think I have met my obligations. Sort of like having a dog...but she doesnt bite...atleast not usually. We started off the day by heading to the beach. Becky was fascinated by my digital camera, and took some pics of me with my tube.

Once we were bored with the beach...my father offered to take us to the GU because he needed to shop. I was asked to wear more clothing next time I went to the store. Apparently what I was wearing in the above pic was not enough. Whatever! I told my father he looked like a pimp with two young blonds following him around. God knows what people were thinking. Now that we are all fed and showered...I am beat.

Looks like a lifesavers commercial!

Here's an interesting candy trivia fact...

Life Savers were invented in 1912 by Clarence Crane, a Cleveland chocolate maker who wanted a sweet product that wouldn't melt in the summer heat.

He decided on a hard candy in the shape of a circle with a hole in the middle.

Since the mints looked like miniature life preservers, he called them Life Savers and registered the trademark.
